I’m so excited that you’re considering commissioning your own Pet Portrait.
Pet Portraits make beautiful, meaningful gifts for close family & friends, or yourself of course, and are the perfect way to remember and celebrate your much-loved pets.
Pet Portraits are drawn in graphite pencil on archival, acid-free paper, ensuring your artwork lasts for generations. Your drawing will come complete with a Certificate of Authenticity.
I have been a professional Pet Portrait artist for over 15 years so you can rest assured that not only will your portrait be of the highest quality, you will also receive excellent and efficient customer service.

The Pet Portrait Ordering Process
Choose a size
Pet Portraits are available in a variety of different sizes. The size that is right for you depends on the type of pet and the style of portrait you’d like.
I pride myself on the detail of my Pet Portraits, which is why I have a minimum size of 8″ x 10″. This enables me to draw the level of detail I need to create you a truly stunning piece of artwork. The larger the portrait, the higher the level of detail I can include in your drawing.
You can find more about how to choose the right size Pet Portrait on the Pet Portrait Prices page.
Send me your Photographs
Your Pet Portrait is drawn from photographs. To achieve my signature, highly detailed style it is vitally important I receive high-quality reference photographs.
Photographs need to be in focus, with lots of detail, especially in the eyes and face. I can design your Pet Portrait using more than one reference photo if you don’t have a single one that is perfect.
It is important I approve your photographs before you place your order, as I am unable to complete a Pet Portrait from poor references.
For more information, please read the guide on taking and choosing Pet Portrait reference photographs.
Fill out an Order Form & Pay your Deposit
After I have approved your photographs you need to complete an order form and pay a 25% deposit to confirm you wish to go ahead with your Pet Portrait.
Your order form and deposit payment secures your spot in my diary.
Order Confirmation
On receipt of your deposit, I will send you an Order Confirmation. You will need to check this thoroughly to ensure all the details are correct.
Your Order Confirmation will have details of the start and completion dates of your portrait. Lead times are generally 4-6 weeks from receipt of your Order Confirmation though they can be a lot longer in busy times, such as at Christmas.
Pet Portrait Work in Progress & Completion
As I work on your Pet Portrait I will send you one or two work in progress photographs. This allows you to request any changes at an earlier stage in the drawing process when making amendments is simpler and quicker.
When I have completed your Pet Portrait, I will send you a photograph of it for approval. Pet Portraits are guaranteed for quality and the likeness to your reference photographs, and will not be sent to you unless you are 100% happy.
Final Payment & Postage
When you have approved your Pet Portrait you will be sent an invoice for the final balance.
And when the final balance is received I will dispatch your Pet Portrait.
Pet Portraits are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery for guaranteed, tracked & insured next day delivery. Most drawings are packaged flat to ensure they arrive in pristine condition. You will also receive a Certificate of Authenticity and instructions for framing and care of your Pet Portrait.
