Laura Williams (“I”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) owns and operates http://northhighlandsart.com (the “Site”) and is the artist solely responsible for drawing commissioned art (“Commission” or “Pet Portrait”)
This web page (together with the documents referred to on it) is a binding agreement and represents the Terms & Conditions for ordering & receiving Commissions and Pet Portraits.
Good quality photographs are essential for me to produce a good likeness to your pet. Photographs have to be approved by me before a commission order will be accepted. I reserve the right to refuse a commission on the grounds of unsuitable photographs.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required as confirmation that you wish to go ahead with your order. Your Pet Portrait will not be scheduled or started without receipt of the deposit.
Final Balance Payments
The balance of your commission is required and will be invoiced upon completion of your order and your Pet Portrait will not be dispatched until the final balance has been received in full. Payment must be made using Paypal or BACS.
A completed Order Form is required along with your deposit payment. This order form is confirmation of your order and ensures I have all the correct details required to correctly fulfil your commission request.
Please note lead times quoted on the website are from the receipt of your deposit and are only a guide. You will be supplied with a personal date of completion when your order is confirmed. This date will be the completion date, not the delivery date. I cannot be held responsible for delivery and postage delays.
Cancellations made within 7 days from your order confirmation will receive a full refund of your deposit. If you cancel after 7 days your deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel your order after work has started on it, a fee may be due depending on how much of your Pet Portrait has been completed. The exact amount will be decided on at my discretion on a case by case basis. If your order has been completed in full, full payment will be required.
If at any point, I have to cancel your order, you will be provided with a full refund.
Import Tax and Duties
I cannot be held responsible for any import tax, duties or additional charges which may occur for overseas orders. The payment of these charges is the buyer’s responsibility.
All commission prices quoted are in Pound Sterling. Exchange rates will be calculated by Paypal during payment. I cannot be held responsible for currency rate changes.
I retain full copyright on any Pet Portraits I complete and I reserve the right to share photographs of work in progress and completed commissions on my website, social media accounts, email newsletter and in other promotional content. Customer emails may also be used similarily for testimonials.
If you do not want me to share your Pet Portrait online, please let me know at the time of ordering.
I do not reproduce commissioned artwork for sale or on merchandise and I do not license it for others to use for profit.
Your Pet Portrait is created for you for personal use only and is not licensed for any form of commercial use.
Pet Portraits are guaranteed for quality and the likeness to your reference photographs, and will not be dispatched until you are 100% happy with the final photograph of your commission sent to you for approval. No amendments will be made once the Pet Portrait has been approved.
If I feel that I am unable to make the amendments required to your satisfaction, I reserve the right to cancel your order, refund you in full and retain the completed artwork for my own use.
